Ready for a pit stop? Jesus was.
John 4 tells us all about the story of Jesus with the woman at the well, so if you need a refresher, check out my last post!
Hey bbys! (Vessels? Readers? Visitors? Y’all? SOS)
Taking a quick detour from the Pati Path to head tooo… Samaria!
The inspiration for this journey came during a prayer meeting. I was sitting on the couch with my favorite fuzzy blanket (gotta love Mott House), waiting for a profound thought to hit me, and the first thing that came to mind was “John… 4… 4”. Excited, I pull up my Bible app just to see, “And He had to pass through Samaria.”. Didn’t sound too ground-shaking, so I started checking other translations. NKJV, “But He needed to go through Samaria.”. NLT, “He had to go through Samaria on the way.”. AMPC, “‘It was necessary for Him to go through Samaria.”.

After a long, long, long hiatus, BIBLE BREAKDOWNS ARE BACK!
These were actually my main motivation for starting a blog (posting pictures full of text on Snapchat got slightly confusing), but even with all the Bible studies I’ve put together recently, I never sat down to share them with y’all. That’s really what these Breakdowns are; me studying the Bible. I started off thinking I could fit it all in one post, but it’s turned into at least a three-parter. I’d recommend packing some snacks for the road, because this is about to be a super nerdy, etymology-heavy journey from yours truly.
When you are on your way out of sexual sin, God is going to call you into a season of divine extremes. If the people around you are uncomfortable with your extremes, you’ll start to leave your extremes to make them comfortable with what you have to do. You’ll start to hate the fact that you need to be so extreme, because you will become unpopular.
We have to realize lust is nothing to play with. What’s after you wants to end you and your future. You can’t be half in half out, and you can’t leave room for compromising. Your soul should be your priority.
